Sister Marion Kikukawa, OSF, St. Joseph School Principal

Father Scott Bush and St. Joseph School announce the hiring of Sister Marion Kikukawa as principal. Born in Hoolehua, Molokai, Sr. Marion attended high school at St. Francis Convent School in Honolulu.

She has earned a master's degree in educational administration and supervision from Manhattan College in Riverdale, N.Y., and a master's degree in religious education from Seattle University.

She recently completed a position of general minister as leader of Sisters of the Third Franciscan Order, headquartered in Syracuse, N.Y. She has also served as general councilor and general treasurer of the order.

Her experience includes being principal of St. Anthony High School in Long Beach, Calif., assistant principal at Bishop Ludden High School in Syracuse and as a teacher at St. Joseph High School in Hilo.

Sr. Marion has taken over her responsibilities as of Monday, February 16, 2004.
